Why?
PCSing is said to be one of the most stressful things a military member can experience, especially when it is to or from an overseas military installation. Checklists, family issues, movers, cleaning, etcetera are all some of the many tasks that contribute to this anxiety. And because these processes are so stressful, we have created this system to try to facilitate your PCS in the following way -
For individuals leaving OCONUS installations, an issue you must consider is what stuff you want to get rid of. Usually you either do not have enough space to take it all with you or you just do not want it anymore. Often, these things are in really good condition and you would rather pass them on to another service member who can use them.
For individuals going to OCONUS installations, you have the tiring task of reestablishing yourself. Because of limitations in weight, vehicle restrictions, fear of damaging your good items while shipping, etcetera you frequently get overseas and have to reacquire certain items. However, you seldom want to spend top dollar for items that you will only hold for a few years to pass on when you PCS.
Currently few options exist dedicated to remedying these problems and it is because of this that MilCir.com was born.
MilCir.com provides information that is current to allow users another option to search and post listings. With an internet presence, items may be posted & searched anytime, from anywhere. With an image based database, searchers can easily view the items available so they can effortlessly gauge their interest, allowing them to make serious contacts so less time is wasted and less items are discarded or junked.
